One of my all time favorite store to shop at is J.Crew. I love the rich colors and the amazing timeless looks. Today’s Favorite Friday is centered around the Wedding Shop at J.Crew. And it’s always fun to hear my bride say that they are getting their dress and bridesmaids dresses from J.Crew. Major points if the guys get their apparel from there as well. Here’s a J.Crew dress with a Posh Floral wedding. I love their rich color so we chose to use Lime Green Hydrangeas, Orange Spray Roses, and Purple Dahlias to enhance the beautiful dress.
Also, I will be hosting along with J.Crew a Style Session this Thursday August 22nd from 6-8pm at the Shops at Willow Bend in Plano TX. Come by and see me! More details to come!
A classic man is always fond of leather made wallets. However, getting the real leather wallets has always been a painful job. Many online stores and regional shops claim that they have original leather billfolds, yet ends up giving a false product.
It seemed to me that the word ‘posh’ probably originated as slang, and so here are two more tales of the possible origin of the word:
1. The word means rich, aristocratic, wealthy, loaded, fancy, toff, toffee nosed, upper crust, well off, or well to do. The origin of this word actually derives from an old Romany Gypsy slang word for pennies, i.e. if you’ve a lot of pennies you’re well to do, rich, etc. In this light, the word posh can be used as a term of light hearted derision.
2. Early 20th century: perhaps from slang posh, denoting a dandy.
