On Sunday, I delivered flowers to the Bonton Community which is in South Dallas. The flowers were for the launch party of Bonton Honey. Normally when I deliver flowers, I set the flowers on the table and make sure everything looks stunning and then leave before I am seen by all the guests, but today I stayed and was apart of the event. This event was unlike any other event I have ever been apart of. To give you a little background, I used to come to the Bonton under the leadership of HIS Bridge Builders with the Jr High kids I mentored and we would paint homes, play with kids and feed families. There is something so special about this community and I forgot about it until I came back there Sunday. These people want to change the history and the stereotype of their community and they are working so hard to change it. Bonton Honey is one of the change agents that will help give jobs to men and will influence their children. As the event was about start, three little girls came up to me and asked me to play Hide and Seek. I haven’t played that in forever but there was something special about that moment. Playing with such Angels touched my heart! They made me feel so cool and special! These little ones were on my heart as the men of Bonton Honey talked about how they longed to change the community for these children. The Bible verse that they hold to is “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Yes, there were Posh Florals of yellow Sunflowers, white Daisies, and fragrant Stock, but this Bonton Honey Company brought a beautiful fragrance to my heart. Here’s a glimpse into the evening that touched my heart.
